Andrés Otero told the Culture Commission on Monday that the technical evaluation of DG Medios reports for the Estadio Nacional concerts will conclude in the coming days, after delays caused by the weather system.
Sports undersecretary Andrés Otero stated that the technical reports requested from producer DG Medios arrived last week and are now under evaluation. The delay was attributed to the weather system affecting ten regions.
Otero clarified that ticket sales occurred without a prior contract or authorization from Estadio Nacional, although mass events law permits this if the public is informed about pending permits. The Ministry notified SERNAC to verify compliance with that requirement.
ARMY representatives described the emotional harm caused by uncertainty, including anxiety crises and distress among thousands of fans who already purchased tickets, flights and lodging. Otero reiterated the goal of making cultural and sports events coexist, and that revenues from the concerts go to the General Treasury of the Republic, not the Parque Estadio Nacional budget.
