Both McCarthy and Khan were present at the Pro Day, underscoring the team's interest in the prospect ahead of the NFL Draft. Jones has drawn attention from five teams total, including the San Francisco 49ers, Tennessee Titans, Atlanta Falcons, and Miami Dolphins. The Steelers, seeking a return specialist, view Jones as a potential fit. He expressed confidence to Melo that he could handle return duties in the NFL, despite limited college experience with four kick returns for 58 yards. Over his career at Georgia, Jones rushed 52 times for 253 yards and caught 57 passes for 573 yards, scoring nine touchdowns. At Pro Day, he measured 5-foot-11 and 185 pounds, and ran the 40-yard dash in 4.45 seconds. Jones described himself as the “ultimate competitor” and contributed to two national championship teams with the Bulldogs. With three seventh-round picks available, the Steelers may target him late in the draft to secure his services ahead of undrafted free agency competition.
