Sue Ramirez named Ginebra San Miguel's 2026 calendar girl

Ginebra San Miguel has named actress and performer Sue Ramirez as its 2026 Calendar Girl, paying homage to the streets where generations of Filipinos hustled and expressed themselves. This continues the company's 37-year tradition of featuring strong, successful women. At the launch event on November 26 at Diamond Hotel Manila, Sue shared her views on life and determination.

Ginebra San Miguel has a long tradition of producing calendars that become fixtures in Filipino homes, offices, sari-sari stores, and barbershops, marking the passage of time for everyday people. Over the past 37 years since its first launch, the brand has featured some of the prettiest, fiercest, and most successful women as Calendar Girls, including Marian Rivera in 2009 and 2014, Anne Curtis in 2011, Solenn Heussaff in 2012, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach in 2019, and Julie Anne San Jose in 2025. For 2026, actress and performer Sue Ramirez has been selected as the Calendar Girl, embodying the Street Siren theme that honors the streets where Filipinos were raised to hustle and self-express.

Sue, a six-year endorser of GSM Blue, approached the photoshoot as her authentic self, without assuming any teleserye or rom-com roles. She valued being seen simply as Sue, with no pretenses. "This is a badge of honor," she said about being called a siren, symbolizing ownership of her power, voice, and story. In discussing her life outlook and overcoming challenges, Sue emphasized self-belief and tapang—a fearless determination to do what needs to be done.

The launch party on November 26 at Diamond Hotel Manila highlighted her role in carrying the brand for a new generation of kabarangays. With nearly 50 films and TV series under her belt, Sue views this as an answered prayer and hopes the calendar's fearless concept inspires others, especially women, to pursue dreams through hard work and personal growth. The 2026 calendar is available in six layouts: Sporty Siren, Nightlife Siren, Barber’s Siren, Bao-Bao Siren, Beach Siren, and Street Siren, reflecting the never-say-die spirit of Ginebra San Miguel and the multifaceted modern Filipina.
