Funeral honors for Kevin Alexander Cano Antury took place yesterday in vereda Naranjal, Timaná, for the young man who died in a traffic accident in southern Huila. The incident happened last Sunday as he was returning on a motorcycle and collided with a car.

Kevin Alexander Cano Antury died last Wednesday from injuries sustained in a traffic accident that occurred the previous Sunday on roads in southern Huila. The young man, driving a motorcycle with a woman as a passenger, was returning to the municipality of Timaná. According to initial hypotheses, he lost control of the handlebars for unknown reasons and collided with a white car.

After the impact, both Cano Antury and the passenger were injured. People passing by assisted them and took them to the local hospital. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was transferred to the Hospital Departamental San Antonio de Pitalito, where he remained under medical observation for several days. Despite the efforts of the health staff, the patient suffered a relapse and passed away.

The news caused sadness among those who knew him. On social media, friends and family expressed their grief. Yuly Díaz Pérez wrote: “Dios mío, te pido que le dé mucha fortaleza a la mamá y a toda la familia” (God, I ask you to give strength to the mom and the whole family). Lety Audor stated: “Dios los bendiga y le dé mucha fortaleza a la familia para seguir adelante. Paz en su tumba, Kevin” (God bless you and give strength to the family to move forward. Peace in his grave, Kevin). And may the Heavenly Father have him in his holy glory for such an excellent human being in his short existence).

The funeral honors were held yesterday in vereda Naranjal, Timaná, where the community gathered to bid him farewell.
