Nine of the world's top 10 tennis players and 18 of the top 20 are expected to compete in the 119th edition of the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters from April 4 to 12, 2026. The tournament, which opens the European clay-court season, will feature defending champion Carlos Alcaraz and other stars at the Monte-Carlo Country Club. Local Monegasque player Valentin Vacherot enters the main draw directly after his breakthrough in 2025.
The Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters, an ATP Masters 1000 event, will take place from April 4 to 12, 2026, at the Monte-Carlo Country Club overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Tournament director David Massey unveiled the player entry list during a press lunch on March 10, 2026, at Hôtel Le Poupry in Paris, attended by Melanie-Antoinette de Massy, president of the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters, the Monte-Carlo Country Club, and the Monegasque Tennis Federation.
The field includes Carlos Alcaraz (world No. 1 and defending champion), Jannik Sinner (No. 2), Novak Djokovic (No. 3), Alexander Zverev (No. 4), Lorenzo Musetti (No. 5), Alex de Minaur (No. 6), Taylor Fritz (No. 7), Felix Auger-Aliassime (No. 9), and Alexander Bublik (No. 10). Additional confirmed players are Daniil Medvedev, Jakub Menšík, Casper Ruud, Jack Draper, and Flavio Cobolli. Monaco's Valentin Vacherot, who reached the final of the Rolex Shanghai Masters in 2025 as the first Monegasque to achieve an ATP main tour final, will receive direct entry and home support. Three-time tournament winner Stefanos Tsitsipas also returns, alongside French players Arthur Rinderknech, Arthur Fils, Corentin Moutet, Ugo Humbert, and Adrian Mannarino.
The singles main draw comprises 56 players: 45 direct entries, seven qualifiers, and four wild cards, with 28 doubles teams. The draw ceremony is scheduled for April 3 at 5:00 p.m. Last year, the event drew 150,000 spectators, 225 million social media views, and 34 million viewers across platforms.
Partners include title sponsor Rolex, Emirates, Maserati, Generali, Adecco, Dunlop, Yokohama, Minuty, and Tecnifibre, with returning Champagne Lanson and new additions Rummo and PokerStars. Broadcast coverage features full transmission on Eurosport in France, one daily match on France.tv, and the final on France 4, plus international outlets like The Tennis Channel, Sky Italia, Sky UK, and Sky Germany.
Enhancements include the Monte-Carlo Beach Club as Players’ Village with a new 320 m² gym and relaxation zone. Spectators will enjoy a redesigned village with live screens and rest areas. Technology features Electronic Line Calling Live via Hawk-Eye, Video Review, and HawkVision with 60 cameras for broadcasts. The Points for Change initiative with BNP Paribas raised €37,204 for GEMLUC in 2025 and will fund breast prostheses for patients at Princess Grace Hospital Centre this year. A children's day is set for April 5 during Easter weekend.
Monaco's tennis scene is rising, with Romain Arneodo and Manuel Guinard winning the 2025 doubles title on a wildcard, and Hugo Nys securing the 2023 Rome Masters 1000 doubles with Jan Zieliński. Vacherot and others will represent Monaco in a Davis Cup tie against Finland in September.
