Unplugged performance releases cybershocks for cybertruck

Unplugged Performance has introduced Cybershocks, a rear shock kit designed to improve the Tesla Cybertruck's ride quality. The upgrade addresses instability in the vehicle's air suspension during towing, hauling, or off-road use. Priced at $2,995, the kit is compatible with dual-motor AWD and Cyberbeast variants.

Tesla's Cybertruck, equipped with standard air suspension and rear steering, has drawn attention for its innovative design. However, Unplugged Performance, a California-based Tesla tuning specialist, identified a flaw in the factory rear suspension. As the air shocks adjust firmness, the rear end can become under-damped at higher speeds or under heavy loads, leading to oscillations after bumps.

The new Cybershocks system adds secondary shocks to the rear setup, positioned within the rear wishbone. Each shock features adjustable compression and rebound damping to provide a more responsive ride. According to Unplugged, this allows the suspension to recover faster after impacts, refining control both on-road and off-road, especially when towing or hauling.

Installation is straightforward: owners remove the wheel and a plastic cover, then fit upper and lower brackets before mounting the shock. The kit costs $2,995 and includes a one-year, unlimited-mileage warranty. Unplugged emphasizes that racing or off-roading with the upgrade will not void the warranty.

This release follows Unplugged's lineup of Cybertruck accessories, including steel rock sliders, carbon fiber hoods, roof racks, upgraded wheels, braided brake lines, and sway bars. The company, known for products like the world's first indestructible wheel, continues to enhance the electric truck's capabilities.
