Västerviks IK reports positive financial result after crisis

Västerviks IK has announced a positive economic result following a difficult previous season. The club also reported a significantly improved debt situation.

Västerviks IK shared the news in a press release on Friday. The club stated that both the association and the group showed positive financial results after turning around from near-crisis conditions. The previous season ended with a record negative result close to 7 million kronor. Three scenarios had been considered to address the issues, including possible bankruptcy or relegation. A capital contribution ultimately resolved the situation. The club now aims for a playoff spot in the upcoming HockeyEttan season.
