Vimmerby Hockey extends contract with key defenseman Nick Bochen

Vimmerby Hockey has secured defenseman Nick Bochen for another season in HockeyAllsvenskan. The Canadian player, who impressed after joining last season, will return from Vancouver to bolster the team's defense. Sportchef Pelle Johansson highlighted Bochen's importance to the club's culture.

Nick Bochen emerged as one of Vimmerby Hockey's standout defensemen during the recent season, earning significant trust with his mobile and creative play. The club announced that the Canadian has signed a contract extension, ensuring his presence for the upcoming campaign in Sweden's HockeyAllsvenskan league. Currently in his hometown of Vancouver, Bochen is set to rejoin the team next season. Sportchef Pelle Johansson emphasized the signing's value, stating to the club's social media, as cited by Dagens Vimmerby: “Att komma till en ny miljö och välja att fortsätta sin resa här betyder så klart mycket. The team also has contracts for Oskar Lindgren and William Alftberg, with Alfred Hjälm having extended his deal. Reports place Visby Roma's Andreas Thelander with Vimmerby next season, partly confirmed by that club's sportchef in local media.
