Vitality defeats MOUZ to advance to IEM Krakow grand final

Team Vitality secured a 2-0 victory over MOUZ in the semifinals of IEM Krakow 2026, earning a spot in the grand final against FURIA. The French squad dominated both maps, Nuke and Dust2, with strong performances on both offense and defense. ZywOo was named MVP for his outstanding play.

The IEM Krakow 2026 playoffs continued with a decisive semifinal matchup between Vitality and MOUZ on February 6-8. Vitality, positioned as favorites, controlled the series from start to finish, winning 2:0 to advance to the grand final. MOUZ will compete in a placement match, while the winner of the final claims the first major trophy of the year and a share of the $400,000 prize pool.

The map veto process set the stage: MOUZ removed Anubis, Vitality removed Ancient, MOUZ picked Nuke, Vitality selected Dust2, MOUZ banned Overpass, Vitality vetoed Inferno, leaving Mirage undecided but unused. On Nuke, Vitality started strong on the CT side, building a six-round streak to lead 8:4 at halftime. MOUZ managed only four rounds in the first half, and Vitality closed out the map 13:7 without losing momentum. This marked Vitality's fifth consecutive win against MOUZ on Nuke.

Switching to Dust2, Vitality executed clean T-side attacks, securing opening kills and winning the first half 7:5. After the side switch, MOUZ struggled on the attack, capturing just one round as Vitality's defense held firm, ending the map 13:6.

ZywOo earned MVP honors with an ADR of 103.8 and a 1.68 rating, leading Vitality's charge. The victory underscores Vitality's dominance in the tournament, setting up an anticipated grand final against FURIA.
