Dutch rider Willem Greve secured his third victory of the 2025/2026 season by winning the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup leg in Gothenburg, Sweden. Aboard the 15-year-old stallion Grandorado TN N.O.P., Greve finished ahead of compatriot Kim Emmen in second place. The event drew a large crowd to the Scandinavium arena, highlighting the competition's prestige.
The 12th leg of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ 2025/2026 Western European League took place on February 24, 2026, in Gothenburg, Sweden. Willem Greve of the Netherlands piloted Grandorado TN N.O.P. to victory, marking his third win of the season after successes in Stuttgart, Germany, and La Coruña, Spain, with a different horse, Pretty Woman Van’t Paradijs N.O.P.
The competition featured 36 starters competing over a course designed by Peter Schumacher of Germany, which included 16 jumping efforts and a time limit of 73 seconds for Round 1. Only eight combinations achieved clear rounds within the time to advance to the jump-off. In the jump-off, Kim Emmen set the initial target time of 42.65 seconds aboard Imagine N.O.P., which held until Greve and Grandorado TN N.O.P. completed the course in 42.19 seconds.
Malin Baryard-Johnsson of Sweden finished third with H&M Indiana, delighting the home crowd. Greve expressed his joy post-win, stating, “I’m over the moon for my horse. Grandorado has been a great horse for many years, and he deserves to have this win. This one is for him.” He also praised the atmosphere, noting, “The Swedish public are horse people, and it gives you a little bit extra in the ring. The thing is with this show, it is a classic show, with crowds that are here for the love of the horses.”
This victory earned Greve 20 qualification points, bringing his total to 81 and placing him at the top of the Western European League standings, securing his spot in the Final in Fort Worth, USA, in April. Defending champion Julien Épaillard of France holds second place with 69 points, followed by Daniel Deusser of Germany with 66 points. The final qualifying leg is scheduled for Helsinki, Finland, next week.
