Prime minister Abiy inaugurates energy factories in Hawassa Industrial Park

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (Dr.) inaugurated factories with significant capacity for the energy sector in Hawassa Industrial Park on Miyazya 17, 2018 EC (April 25, 2026). Three solar factories and a supporting gas factory were launched. Together, the solar plants will generate over 11.3 gigawatts of clean power annually.

Molson Coors has announced plans to shut down Sharp’s Brewery in Rock, Cornwall, by the end of 2026, putting around 50 jobs at risk. The US-based company, which acquired the site in 2011, cited financial unsustainability as the reason. The closure is part of broader restructuring affecting up to 200 positions across its UK and Ireland operations.
