Yellow alert remains in Antuco for wildfire affecting 486 hectares

The “711-Rucue” wildfire in Antuco, Biobío Region, has burned 486 hectares and keeps the yellow alert issued by Senapred in place. Emergency teams continue working on site with support from firefighters and forestry brigades.

The National Service for Disaster Prevention and Response (Senapred) has activated an early preventive alert in Chile's Biobío Region due to forecasts of strong winds and precipitation starting this Saturday. The action follows three alerts issued by the Chilean Meteorological Directorate (DMC). The alert aims to strengthen monitoring of potential risks.
The National Seismological Center recorded several low-intensity earthquakes in various regions of Chile on this Sunday, December 7. Most of these movements were imperceptible due to the country's location at the boundary of the Nazca and South American plates. Senapred provides safety recommendations for such events.
