India denies Elon Musk's presence in Trump-Modi phone call

The New York Times reported that Elon Musk joined a phone call on March 24 between US President Donald Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, but India's Ministry of External Affairs denied it. The leaders discussed the West Asia situation. Musk and the White House declined to comment.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh chaired the first meeting of the Informal Empowered Group of Ministers (IGoM) on Saturday to monitor the evolving situation in West Asia. He emphasised medium to long-term preparedness, swift decision-making and countering rumours and fake news. The group took a holistic stock of the conflict's impact on various sectors in India.

The Centre has raised commercial LPG allocation to states and union territories to 70% of pre-crisis levels, prioritising steel, automobiles, textiles and chemicals industries. The move comes amid supply disruptions from the West Asia war's closure of the Strait of Hormuz, enabled by higher domestic production and imports from outside the region.
Amid LPG shortage due to West Asia conflict, the second LPG tanker Nanda Devi reached Gujarat's Vadinar port on Tuesday morning carrying over 47,000 metric tonnes. Part of the cargo will be sent to Tamil Nadu. The Shivalik tanker had earlier arrived at Mundra port with 46,000 metric tonnes of LPG.
