Ana Victoria Almeida launches novel narrated by Parkinson's

Writer Ana Victoria Almeida will launch the novel Me Abrace Antes da Queda at the end of July, her debut in literary fiction. The work is inspired by her grandfather's Parkinson's diagnosis and features the disease as narrator.

Ana Victoria Almeida is a researcher and screenwriter for cinema and television productions. Among her works is the documentary Todas as vidas de Ruy Castro, currently in production.

With the book launch she will join the parallel programming of Flip 2026. The novel received praise from actor Antonio Fagundes.

Fagundes highlighted the work's first sentence and stated that the reader is hooked from the beginning, making it impossible to put down until the last page.
