Berlin bars lure with 8-euro cocktails in Cocktail Week

Starting November 14, 25 bars in Berlin will offer special drinks for 8 euros each during the inaugural Cocktail Week. Each bar provides two options, accompanied by a portion of popcorn. The event aims to showcase the diversity of Berlin's bar scene and attract new customers.

Cocktail Week runs from November 14 to 23, inviting bartenders across Berlin to serve special cocktails at a uniform price of 8 euros. Options include drinks like Matcha Martini, Velvet Dream, or Arseronno. Organizer Medea Sisti highlights the vibrancy of Berlin's nightlife beyond clubs: «In Berlin haben wir unglaublich viele Bars.» She hopes the participating venues will gain new customers through the event.

At the opening, bartenders report that guests are ordering less than before to save money. Among the 25 participating bars are well-known spots like the Green Door Bar in Schöneberg, named Bar of the Year for the second consecutive time, Sorsi e Morsi in Prenzlauer Berg, Bar Amélie in Mitte, and Bar Basalt in Wedding. The emphasis is on Italian spirits, aligning with the organization by Berlin Italian Communication, which also runs events like True Italian Pizza Week and True Italian Pasta Week.

The bars differ widely in vibe—from cozy living-room feels and neighborhood charm to upscale settings. This first edition of Cocktail Week aims to invigorate the local bar culture and demonstrate Berlin's offerings extend far beyond clubs.
