Clinng Payments and Kamin form alliance for interoperable payments

Clinng Payments announced a strategic alliance with Kamin to enable interoperable payments in Colombia through the Bre-B system. The partnership aims to meet the growing demand for agile business solutions aligned with new financial interoperability standards. Despite rising person-to-person transactions, business adoption remains behind.

The alliance between Clinng Payments, known as Monnet in Colombia, and Kamin marks a key step in the evolution of instant payments in the region. Implemented through the Bre-B system, this initiative enables companies and fintechs to handle payments and collections in a modern way, integrating technology, security, and regulatory compliance into a scalable solution.

Data indicates that between January and August 2025, there were 324 million instant payment transactions between individuals, showing significant growth. However, business sector adoption is still limited, despite the need for greater agility in financial operations.

Johanna Polanía, Country Manager of Clinng Payments for Colombia and Ecuador, stated: “The advance toward interoperable instant payments is a natural evolution of the regional financial system. Businesses today need to move money at the same speed as they make decisions. Instant payments allow simplifying operations, improving liquidity, and offering a more efficient and transparent financial experience”.

Rodrigo León, CEO of Kamin, emphasized the innovative potential: “This is the future of business payments and what will allow companies to innovate their payment infrastructure and develop new use cases for their clients, through a platform with direct connection to Bre-B”.

This partnership emerges amid a market where businesses demand solutions that align with interoperability standards, facilitating greater efficiency in regional transactions.
