Debra Fashion administration office opens in Butajira

The first branch administration office of Debra Fashion has opened at Butajira General Hospital in East Gurage Zone, Central Ethiopia Region. This center will provide physiotherapy, psycho therapy, and behavioral therapy training for children with Down syndrome. The regional health bureau has welcomed the initiative.

On Ketit 26, 2018 EC (March 5, 2026 GC), the first branch administration office of Debra Fashion opened at Butajira General Hospital in East Gurage Zone, Central Ethiopia Region. This step addresses the inaccessibility of the Down syndrome support and service center to all individuals by establishing branches to meet growing needs.

Debra Fashion's manager and owner, Ato Abadula Gameda, stated that the Butajira center will begin physiotherapy, psycho therapy, and behavioral therapy training. It will accept and train children with Down syndrome from all schools to create opportunities. 'We will focus on expanding the office to other areas, opening a leadership training school, providing adequate health services, and offering better services to make it an effective center,' he said.

Expanding support works for children born with natural disabilities to prevent them from remaining at home. Regional Health Bureau Head Ato Samuel Darge praised the opening of this first Down Syndrome center in the region, noting the high needs for caring for mothers and children. He commended the activities for providing special support and follow-up so children with natural defect problems can access health services, which could serve as a model for the country.

Regional Health Bureau Public Relations and Communication Director Benjamin Gezu told Fana Digital that opening the Debra Fashion center in the region demonstrates social responsibility, and expressed thanks to manager Abadula Gameda for his contributions.
