Delhi Police arrest 10 for circulating child sexual abuse material

Delhi Police have arrested 10 men and registered 10 FIRs for allegedly sharing child sexual abuse material online. The operation ran from July 13 to July 18 and relied on tips from a U.S. organisation.

The Central District Police acted on technical inputs from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. Officers verified the leads and launched coordinated raids across several police stations.

Rohit Rajbir Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central), said the accused used social media platforms and cloud services on Android and iOS devices. All ten men are Delhi residents aged between 25 and 30.

Cases were filed under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and the Information Technology Act. Police seized mobile phones and other devices, which have been sent for forensic examination. Investigators said further arrests are likely as they continue to examine digital footprints.

Singh added that there is no evidence so far that the accused belonged to an organised group. Each case is being investigated separately.
