Emir Sanusi urged the European Union to increase support for security, healthcare and education in Kano State and Nigeria, with special focus on girls’ schooling. He recalled Kano’s historic role in trans-Saharan trade and noted the 2024 UNESCO inscription of the Kano Durbar as intangible cultural heritage. Ambassador Mignot said the delegation aimed to strengthen cooperation with northern Nigeria. He praised the cultural heritage and thanked the hosts for their reception.
