Ethiopia accuses Egypt of long-term interference in regional development

Ethiopia's Foreign Ministry stated that Egypt has long interfered to block development in regional countries. Spokesperson Ambassador Nebiyat Getachew made the remarks during a press briefing.

In a statement issued in Addis Ababa, the ministry said Egypt continues to apply pressure to undermine Ethiopia's national interests. This effort has intensified since Ethiopia raised its request for sea access, according to the ministry.
