Lawyer Hotman Paris Hutapea announced his resignation as counsel for former Jampidsus Febrie Adriansyah on Thursday July 23 2026 due to worsening health from a pinched nerve at L4 and L5.
Hotman said he had informed Febrie two days before the official announcement. He underwent pinched nerve surgery in Singapore on June 9 but his condition has since worsened and he fears paralysis.
Febrie asked Hotman to continue assisting for a few more days. However Hotman chose to focus on treatment and plans to return to Singapore for a checkup on Saturday.
Hotman stated the doctor’s letter prohibited work for two weeks after surgery. He expressed concern that the pinched nerve in the leg area could lead to serious issues if untreated.
