Infertility examination and treatment services begin in Hawassa

Infertility examination and treatment services have started in Hawassa city through a partnership between St. Paul's Millennium Hospital and the Sidama Region Health Bureau.

The service was previously available only at St. Paul's Millennium Hospital in Addis Ababa. Dr. Meseret Ansa, head of the hospital's infertility and reproductive health center, stated that work is underway to expand access due to high demand.

Dr. Fetsum Woldegebriel, director of Hawassa Comprehensive Specialized Hospital, noted that infertility can be addressed through examination and treatment. He added that the new service will benefit the local community by reducing travel time and costs.

The initiative will also provide valuable experience for hospital professionals in the region.
