Indonesia's Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) examined former West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil as a witness in the alleged corruption of advertisement procurement at Bank BJB from 2021 to 2023. Ridwan Kamil claimed seized assets were bought with personal funds, while KPK stated investigators have other evidence and may re-examine him.

On Tuesday, December 2, 2025, KPK investigators examined Ridwan Kamil for six hours at the KPK's Merah Putih Building in South Jakarta. The questioning centered on the alleged corruption in Bank BJB's advertisement procurement, which caused an estimated state loss of Rp222 billion. Ridwan Kamil was grilled on Bank BJB's non-budgetary funds, assets reported in his State Organizers' Wealth Report (LHKPN), possible unreported assets, and his official income as governor along with other sources.

KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo explained that investigators confirmed whether Ridwan Kamil's assets were linked to non-budgetary funds. "Investigators delved into RK's knowledge regarding those non-budgetary budgets, including confirming assets owned by RK," Budi told reporters on Wednesday, December 3, 2025.

Ridwan Kamil denied any connection of his assets to the case, particularly the seized Mercedes Benz 280 SL car owned by BJ Habibie and a Royal Enfield motorcycle. "Everything that was in the news was personal funds. My own personal funds, so no relation to the case in question," Ridwan Kamil asserted on Tuesday. He reiterated during the examination that purchases were made with personal money.

However, Budi Prasetyo stated that KPK has other evidence. "So, that's the explanation from the person concerned, but of course investigators also have other evidence," he said. Investigators will compare Ridwan Kamil's statements with those of other witnesses, documents, and seized electronic evidence. KPK also leaves open the possibility of re-examining Ridwan Kamil if needed. "That possibility is certainly open," Budi added.

The case has named five suspects since March 13, 2025: Bank BJB President Director Yuddy Renaldi (YR), Widi Hartoto (WH), Ikin Asikin Dulmanan (IAD), Suhendrik (SUH), and Sophan Jaya Kusuma (SJK).
