JAKARTA -- PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry reports a significant surge in Lebaran 2026 return traffic. Posko Angkutan Lebaran data shows 327,646 passengers returned to Java Island from March 22 to 25, 2026 (H to H+3), or 36.4 percent of the 898,864 mudik total. Meanwhile, 89,389 vehicles crossed, 37 percent of the 239,920 mudik vehicles, said ASDP President Director Heru Widodo in a March 25 statement in Jakarta. “This data shows the return flow will continue and is expected to increase in the coming days,” Heru stated. ASDP intensifies monitoring, fleet readiness, 24-hour tugboats and technicians, and Tiba–Bongkar–Berangkat (TBB) procedures for faster service. Port facilities include air-conditioned areas, massage chairs, and child-friendly programs, according to Corporate Secretary Windy Andale. The Ministry of Transportation's Directorate General of Land Transportation launched the 2026 Free Road Transport Return Ride program. Director General Aan Suhanan said it aids 4,270 participants via 100 buses from 12 terminals, such as TTA Kertawangunan in Kuningan and TTA Purabaya in Surabaya, to cut long-distance motorcycle accident risks. “During this return period, public mobility remains high... to ensure safer, orderly, and comfortable travel,” Aan said.
