Malmö FF secured a convincing 4–0 win over IFK Göteborg in Gaute Helstrup's first home match as head coach.
Malmö FF delivered a goal-filled performance to defeat IFK Göteborg 4–0 in the classic fixture. Two goals came from experienced scorer Erik Botheim while the other two were scored by Anton Höög and Andrej Djuric.
Anton Höög, who netted his first Allsvenskan goal, said of the moment: ”Otroligt, det känns jättekul, något som man har drömt om.”
Gaute Helstrup, in his first proper match as MFF coach, highlighted the team's attacking approach: ”Om vi klarar av att vara offensiva så får vi med oss publiken mer.”
The result marked the start of a new era for Malmö FF under the Norwegian manager.
