According to police, the accident occurred in a ski slope during downhill skiing. "It happened in a ski slope during downhill skiing," says Maria Fredriksson, police spokesperson. The man died as a result of the accident, and there are no suspicions of crime. A death investigation will be conducted.
Police were on site during the day, and relatives have been notified. Skistar, which operates the ski area in Björnrike, refers inquiries to the police.
