Netflix teams up for live-action Persona series

Netflix is developing a live-action television adaptation of the Persona video game series. The project involves partnerships with production companies 21 Laps and Story Kitchen.

Christopher Monfette, known for his work on Star Trek: Picard and 9-1-1, has been attached as showrunner. Producers include Shawn Levy, Dan Levine, and Robert Atwood.

The series draws from the RPG games developed by Atlus' P-Studio and published by Sega. Sega executive Toru Nakahara will serve as an executive producer.

Story Kitchen, which has worked on the Sonic the Hedgehog films, is contributing additional producers Dmitri M. Johnson, Michael Lawrence Goldberg, and Timothy I. Stevenson. Netflix has not yet commented on the report.
