The National Testing Agency has put in place stringent security measures across the country for the NEET-UG 2026 re-exam on June 21. The original May 3 exam was cancelled after alleged paper leak claims.
The NTA has deployed 1,38,560 CCTV cameras, 51,311 jammers and biometric verification at 5,440 exam centres. The test will be held for over 22 lakh candidates across 551 Indian cities and 14 foreign centres.
The agency conducted a nationwide mock drill on June 20. The exam will run from 2 PM to 5:15 PM, giving candidates an extra 15 minutes.
The original May 3 test was cancelled on May 12. A CBI probe is underway. The NTA has urged candidates to rely only on official information.
