Örnsköldsvik HF must leave Skyttishallen after next season

Örnsköldsvik HF has received dispensation to play the 2026/27 Hockeyettan season in Skyttishallen. The club will then need to relocate during renovations required to meet federation standards.

Örnsköldsvik HF is one of three clubs granted a final dispensation for the upcoming Hockeyettan season. Skyttishallen fails to meet Svenska Ishockeyförbundets requirements, including insufficient ceiling height and spectator facilities.

Sportchef Patrick Edlund stated that the federation has informed both the club and the municipality that this is the last year the dispensation applies. After the season, the hall will undergo renovation.

Tävlingschef Magnus Mårtensson confirmed that Örnsköldsvik HF plans to move to an approved venue during construction. The municipality has identified Bjästahallen as the facility that meets Hockeyettan standards.
