A 17-year-old girl was seriously injured by twelve stab wounds Friday evening in Reims. Her 28-year-old ex-boyfriend was arrested and remains in custody.
The incident occurred around 8:40 p.m. on Friday. The victim, a Congolese national, was taken to hospital with her life still in danger, Reims prosecutor François Schneider said Saturday evening.
The ex-boyfriend, an Angolan national, remained in custody Saturday night. An investigation for attempted murder has been opened.
The prosecutor stated that “the motive seems to be the separation.” The inquiry continues.
