Supreme Court to review fines for Cosmic procurement

The Supreme Administrative Court will examine the appeal of record fines against the Sussa regions for violating public procurement law in the purchase of the Cosmic medical records system.

The regions within the Sussa collaboration were sentenced in March to record high fines following the Administrative Court of Appeal ruling. The verdict was appealed and it is now clear that the highest instance will review the case.

The examination will also decide whether the regions or supplier Cambio will pay the financial cost.

Trade union Vision has at the same time surveyed how the system works among medical secretaries in the nine regions. The result shows that Cosmic does not function as desired.

– This is really serious, says Vision chair Veronica Magnusson.
