Suspected dangerous object neutralized in Södertälje

On the evening of Thursday, October 30, 2025, police were alerted to the Lina Hage residential area in Södertälje at 18:56. An unknown person had thrown a suspected dangerous object outside a villa, according to police. The object was deemed live, leading to large cordons of about 100 meters in each direction from the site.

Daniel Wikdahl, police spokesperson, commented: "We have set up fairly large cordons. About 100 meters in each direction from the object." Residents in the area were urged to stay indoors during the police operation.

By 22:00 that evening, police reported that the national bomb squad had neutralized the object. No individuals have been arrested in connection with the incident, but the investigation continues. Police are classifying the case as attempted murder, attempted public endangerment, and violation of the law on flammable and explosive goods.

The event occurred in a villa neighborhood, and bomb technicians were called in to analyze and handle the object. There are no reports of damage or injuries.
