Three backs and goalie depart Timrå as forward approaches

Timrå announced the departure of goalie Tim Juel and backs Linus Nässén, Lukas Pilö, and Tim Erixon following end-of-season meetings. Erixon, 35, appears set to retire after a foot injury sidelined him. Sport chief Kent Norberg confirmed a new forward is nearing a deal.

Timrå held exit meetings with players on Tuesday after the season, confirming that goalie Tim Juel and backs Linus Nässén and Lukas Pilö are leaving the club. Veteran back Tim Erixon is also done with Timrå. The 35-year-old from Västerbotten underwent foot surgery around the new year, missing the entire season without playing a single match for the team since October 2024. He continues to deal with back issues partly linked to the foot problems and has tried various treatments over the past year and a half without success. Erixon played 93 NHL games across four seasons with New York Rangers, Columbus, Chicago, and Toronto. Internationally, he reached the 2011 World Championship final with Tre Kronor and earned bronze in 2014. Timrå also loses forward Jonathan Dahlén and likely Emil Pettersson. Sport chief Kent Norberg told Sundsvalls Tidning a new forward is incoming: “Vi håller det där. Vi kommer inte att gå ut med några namn förrän... Men det ser bra ut på några håll.”
