Two Himanshu Bhau gang members arrested for attempted hit on Rohit Lamba

Delhi Police arrested two alleged sharpshooters from the Himanshu Bhau gang for firing at gangster Rohit Lamba in Najafgarh. The incident occurred on October 28, but Lamba escaped unhurt. The arrests were made in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh, using CCTV and vehicle records.

On the evening of October 28, Rohit Lamba, a gangster associated with the Ashok Pradhan gang, was riding pillion on a two-wheeler with a friend in Southwest Delhi's Najafgarh area. Two men in an SUV intercepted them and opened fire, shooting multiple rounds. Fortunately, Lamba escaped without injuries.

Delhi Police traced the perpetrators using CCTV footage and vehicle registration records. The accused, identified as Ankit Aheriya and Nikhil Dubey, both linked to the Himanshu Bhau gang, were arrested on Thursday evening in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh, after a series of raids.

According to police, the duo had been contracted to kill Lamba about a month earlier. An officer explained the motive: “Lamba was allegedly involved in the killing of Bhau’s associate Neeraj Bawana’s uncle. Since then, Bhau had been looking to kill Lamba.”

The arrests highlight ongoing gang rivalries in the region, with the Himanshu Bhau gang seeking retaliation against Lamba's group. No further details on the friend's condition or additional suspects were provided.
