Rugaiya Usman Wiranto, wife of presidential advisor on politics and security General (Ret.) Wiranto, passed away on November 16, 2025, at 3:55 p.m. WIB in Bandung. She had been receiving treatment at RS Melinda for five days since November 12. The family confirmed her passing and plans for burial in Solo.
Sorrow has befallen the extended family of Wiranto following the passing of Rugaiya Usman Wiranto. According to a staff member of Wiranto, the late passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at 3:55 p.m. WIB, while undergoing intensive treatment at RS Melinda, Pasir Kaliki, Cicendo District, Bandung City, West Java.
Prior to her death, Rugaiya had arrived at the hospital on November 12, 2025, and received care for approximately five days. A security officer at RS Melinda, Mamat, confirmed the treatment. "Pak Wiranto's wife was treated for about five days at RS Melinda, and she passed away this afternoon," Mamat said when met at RS Melinda on Sunday night (16/11/2025). He added that the hospital could not disclose the illness suffered by the late due to the need for family approval.
The body of Rugaiya was promptly removed from RS Melinda around 7:30 p.m. WIB by ambulance. The procession was directly picked up by Wiranto along with family and a convoy of vehicles. The body arrived in Jakarta around 10:00 p.m. WIB and was laid in state at the funeral home on Jalan Palem Kartika Number 21, Kompleks PATI AD Bambu Apus, East Jakarta.
The family stated, "Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raaji'un, our beloved wife/mother/grandmother has passed away peacefully to the mercy of Allah." On Monday morning, November 17, 2025, the body will be transported to Solo via Halim Perdanakusuma Airport at 7:00 a.m. WIB for burial in Delingan.
