16-year-old from Leksand launches 3D printing company

Leon Jonsson, 16, from Leksand has started a 3D printing company to help others with everyday problems. The idea was born when he created a book clamp for his grandfather.

From a young age Leon Jonsson developed an interest in technology and problem solving. He has now founded a company that uses 3D printing to manufacture products addressing small everyday challenges.

The inspiration came from his grandfather, an author. Leon designed a book clamp that holds the book open using only the thumb. He notes that people often recognize a problem only when they see the solution.

Leon is now seeking more everyday problems to solve with his 3D printer. He presents examples from his own life in a video that illustrates how the technology can be applied practically.
