21-month-old baby found with 2.14g of alcohol in blood after daycare

An investigation has opened after a 21-month-old girl was hospitalized with 2.14g of alcohol in her blood following a day at a micro-creche in Oise.

The parents had dropped off their daughter on the morning of March 17 at the micro-creche Les Petits Gaulois in Plailly. They were called back in the afternoon because the child kept falling over. At the hospital, doctors found she was passed out drunk.

The Senlis public prosecutor confirmed the opening of a preliminary investigation against X, assigned to the Orry-la-Ville gendarmerie brigade. Investigations are continuing.

The micro-creche, run by the group People & Baby, has been under temporary administrative closure since March 20. It is expected to reopen in June 2026. No malice has been identified so far and the child is doing well.
