Activision brings back early campaign access for Modern Warfare 4

Activision has announced that the single-player campaign for Modern Warfare 4 will be available up to one week before the game's full launch on 23rd October.

Players who pre-order the game digitally can access the campaign as early as 16th October. The offer applies across all platforms, including Nintendo Switch 2, but requires a digital purchase rather than a physical retailer order.

This marks a return to the early access model first introduced with the 2019 Modern Warfare reboot. The feature was also offered for Modern Warfare 2 in 2022 and Modern Warfare 3 in 2023.

The campaign is set on the Korean Peninsula and follows events from Modern Warfare 3. It centers on a South Korean soldier during a North Korean invasion and includes returning characters Captain Price and Ghost from Task Force 141.

Modern Warfare 4 is scheduled to release on 23rd October for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Switch 2.
