William Graham Oliver, 54, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with eight counts of capital murder for the deaths of a mother, her pregnant daughter, and her son in Mobile County, Alabama. Authorities say the victims were bound and killed in their home, with a toddler found unharmed. Sheriff Paul Burch stated Oliver acted alone and lived nearby.
Mobile County Sheriff Paul Burch announced the arrest of William Graham Oliver during a Tuesday news conference. Oliver faces one count of capital murder of two or more persons, four counts during a burglary, two counts of a child under 14, and one in the presence of a child. The charges stem from the slayings of 46-year-old Lisa Gail Fields, 17-year-old Keziah Arionna Luker—who was eight months pregnant—and 12-year-old Thomas Cordelle Jr. in their home on the 7900 block of Auble Moody Road. Burch noted Oliver had known the family and lived just a few miles away, describing the evidence as 'very solid circumstantial.' He added, 'Anytime there are children involved, it makes it a little tougher, especially an unborn child.'
