Amhara deputy administrator urges leadership to benefit voters

Amhara region deputy administrator Dr. Abdou Hussein said the leadership must work down to the grassroots to benefit those who voted in the election.

Dr. Abdou Hussein made the remarks during a discussion in Dese town on the region's 90-day plan implementation.

He stressed that work must begin immediately on the set plan over the next 90 days to ensure public benefit. Officials must focus on key areas including winter activities, he noted.

Government performance must improve across all sectors, the cost of living reduced, citizens' income enhanced and voluntary winter service used to benefit the community, he said. He recalled that efforts to ensure regional peace had been effective and called for strengthening them to make peace sustainable.
