Arvid Lindblad unveils hand-drawn helmet for British Grand Prix

Racing Bulls rookie Arvid Lindblad will mark his first home Formula 1 race with a special helmet featuring childlike drawings created with British-Indian artist Navinder Nangla.

The 18-year-old driver designed the helmet to reflect his childhood dreams of reaching Formula 1. Sketches appear on a white background around the front, sides and back, including a scribbled Union Jack and the phrase "Dream Big" under the visor.

"It really was from the age of five, six, it was always what I was working towards," Lindblad said in a video posted to Instagram. "The helmet really encompasses my journey."

Artist Navinder Nangla described the project as a fitting collaboration given their shared British-Indian heritage and the Silverstone setting. Fans on social media praised the unique design as a fitting tribute to Lindblad's teenage milestone.

The British Grand Prix takes place at Silverstone from 3 to 5 July.
