Barry Can’t Swim releases euphoric single Dance Dance Dance

Barry Can’t Swim released his new single Dance Dance Dance on July 24. The track draws from the golden era of French Touch with shimmering synths and French-language vocals.

The Edinburgh-born producer, whose real name is Joshua Mainnie, issued the song through Atlantic Records. It marks his second single of the year following Return To Bhibo, which arrived in May.

The new track features buoyant electronic beats, a playful keytar solo and euphoric French-language vocals. It shifts toward more flamboyant territory compared with the club-focused sound of his previous release.

Mainnie recently appeared in Miami for KidSuper’s SS27 runway show and hosted a pop-up party in Brooklyn. Last month he carried the match ball onto the pitch before Scotland’s World Cup game against Brazil alongside DJ Mochakk, after which the pair performed a back-to-back set at Club Space.
