Beabadoobee has announced her fourth album Pylon along with the lead single Sun Has Set and an extensive international tour. The record is set for release on September 18 via Dirty Hit and Interscope Records. It follows her 2024 album This Is How Tomorrow Moves.

The singer-songwriter shared a music video for Sun Has Set that features a first-person perspective of her confronting someone before abruptly falling asleep. In a statement she explained the track's theme.

"This song has this petty tunnel vision—it’s like, I hate you. You’re gonna stay here and listen to how much I hate you. Because I never got to say that," she said. Many songs on the album draw from things she wished she could have expressed to others.

Pylon incorporates influences from grunge, Midwest emo, and 1990s radio rock. Guest appearances include Hayley Williams on Nothing to Prove, Brendan Yates of Turnstile on Powerlines, Evan Stephens Hall of Pinegrove, Chino Moreno of Deftones, and Shane Moran of Title Fight. Matty Healy and George Daniel of The 1975 produced Write Me a Letter.

The Powerlines Tour marks her first arena headline run. It begins with festival dates in July and August before moving to arenas across North America in October and the United Kingdom and Europe in November and December.
