Beatriz Padín leaves Inditex after more than 40 years at the company

Inditex has announced the departure of Beatriz Padín, director of Zara Woman for 25 years. The executive, with a career spanning more than four decades at the group, has decided to end her professional journey at the company.

Padín's departure, as one of the closest figures to chairwoman Marta Ortega, was notified to the National Securities Market Commission on Friday. The executive was part of the steering committee, a position that will not be filled.

Alfredo Ferro Varela, formerly director of Zara Basic, will take over as director of Zara Woman. Eva Pérez Salgado, with 15 years at the company, will assume leadership of Zara Basic. Óscar Pérez Marcote and Miguel Díaz Miranda remain as Zara representatives.

Padín joined Inditex in 1985 at age 17 as an ironer at the Arteixo facilities. Her career advanced to executive roles in design, purchasing, production and distribution. The company highlighted her significant contribution to Zara's performance and evolution.
