BMW Motorrad has shared additional photos of its upcoming F 450 GS adventure bike, ahead of its release to consumers in coming months. The model, revealed in late 2025, targets the A2 license class with 48 horsepower. It promises agile handling for both on-road and off-road use.
The F 450 GS builds on BMW's GS legacy in a more accessible package. Markus Flasch, head of BMW Motorrad, described it at the 2025 EICMA reveal as a genuine BMW GS in the 48 hp A2 class. He said: 'Get on, twist the throttle, have fun – with full control and maximum confidence. Its low weight, superior performance and perfect balance between agility and stability ensure a particularly intuitive riding experience.' Flasch added that it excels on and off the road, setting a benchmark for sporty adventure bikes in its class. It is uncomplicated, robust, and always ready, he noted. The bike delivers 31.7 pound-feet of torque at 6,750 rpm and complies with Euro5+ emissions standards. Fuel efficiency stands at 3.8 liters per 100 kilometers from its 14-liter tank, offering a range of about 350 kilometers, or roughly 200 miles. BMW first teased the F 450 GS in 2024, with regular updates leading to the final version shown late last year. Scheduled as an early 2027 model, it arrives in 2026, positioned as a capable alternative to larger GS twins.
