Cable theft in Ciudad Real disrupts high-speed rail service

A cable theft incident caused delays for high-speed trains between Madrid and Andalusia on Sunday afternoon.

The theft occurred between Venta La Inés and Brazatortas in Ciudad Real province. ADIF stated on its official X account that staff are working to resolve the incident as soon as possible.

This marks the second time the same cause has affected the connection. The previous Wednesday ADIF had reported a cable theft between Ciudad Real and Malagón.

Train circulation between Madrid and Andalusia remains subject to the resulting delays.
