CNN Brasil will become open TV network by end of year

Six years after its founding, CNN Brasil plans to stop being a pay TV channel only and become an open television network by December 2026.

The news channel led by Rubens Menin is negotiating contracts with various local broadcasters across Brazil to form a national network.

The change was announced on June 19, 2026 and is scheduled to take place by the end of the year.
