Non-natural mortality rose to 28.2 deaths per 100,000. Maternal mortality hit its lowest since 2008, with 205 cases. DANE director Piedad Urdinola noted child mortality under five years dropped from 4.0% to 1.9% of total deaths, and mortality is higher in men except after age 85.
