DPR Commission VIII approved a Rp4 trillion down payment transfer for 2027 Hajj operations. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has reported a proposed cost increase to President Prabowo Subianto.
DPR RI Commission VIII approved the down payment transfer needs for tent costs and basic Hajj service packages for 1448 H/2027 M amounting to SAR 858.743.189,64 or equivalent to Rp4.007.471.080.797.
The approval was taken during a working meeting on Tuesday 14 July 2026. The payment schedule to Saudi Arabian parties falls between 15-19 July 2026.
Minister of Hajj and Umrah Mochamad Irfan Yusuf conveyed the proposed 2027 BPIH of Rp107.34 million per pilgrim to President Prabowo Subianto. Prabowo nodded and directed that costs should not burden pilgrims.
Commission VIII urged the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to complete official documents related to the transfer request.
