A meeting was held at Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge's residence in Delhi with Rahul Gandhi and other top leaders present. Names from Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar's list received approval.
B.K. Hariprasad said all discussions had been completed and the high command would take a final decision soon. The oath was scheduled for 3 May at 5 PM.
The expansion aimed to balance regional caste and religious factors. Possible names included Rizwan Arshad and Lakshmi Hebbalkar though no official confirmation was given.
